Why we built IQScore
A lot of online IQ tests seem designed to collect something from you rather than tell you something. You answer dozens of questions, then meet a form, a payment screen or a score that looks suspiciously flattering.
We wanted the opposite: a test that respects your time, shows your full result the moment you finish, and explains exactly what that result does and does not mean.
A result you can trust is worth more than a score that flatters you.
What makes IQScore different

How the IQScore cognitive assessment works
The IQScore cognitive assessment has 36 questions and a 25 minute timer. There are nine questions in each of four sections, mixed together in a random order.

How the score is calculated
Each correct answer earns one point, and unanswered questions earn nothing. Your points are converted into an estimated IQ score using the formula above, and your accuracy in each section is shown next to it.
Why the scale runs from 70 to 130
Standard IQ scales are set so that the average is 100 with a standard deviation of 15, which puts about 95 in every 100 people between 70 and 130. A short online test cannot measure reliably beyond that band, and it has no large reference group of test takers to compare against. So we keep the scale within this range instead of claiming extreme scores that we cannot support.
How the questions are made
Rather than drawing from a fixed question bank, IQScore builds questions from rule-based templates. The answer to each puzzle is calculated by the same rules that create it, so the answer key always matches the question and every attempt feels new.
What IQScore is, and what it is not
IQScore is a free screening estimate for curiosity, practice and self-understanding. It measures a slice of reasoning ability in about 25 minutes.
It is not a clinical or official IQ test, and it does not have the large reference sample or supervised conditions of professional instruments. Any short online test has a real margin of error, and your result can shift with tiredness, distraction or the device you use.
If you need an assessment for education, employment or health reasons, ask a licensed psychologist about a professionally administered test, such as a Wechsler or Stanford-Binet scale.

How is my estimated IQ score calculated?
Each correct answer earns one point and unanswered questions earn none. Your points are converted with a simple published formula: estimated IQ = 70 + 60 x (correct answers / 36). That means 0 correct gives 70, 18 correct gives 100 and all 36 correct gives 130.
